Who are you, and what do you like to learn about? (academically, professionally, and/or personally)
My name is Joe Reedy. I’m a Junior at Wheelock College. I’m majoring in Political Science with a minor in Community Based Human Service. I love learning about basketball. I also enjoying learning about music specifically the piano and how to play it.
What hardware do you use to learn? (Eg. smart phone, tablet, laptop, desktop)
I usually use my I phone 5c and my laptop/desktop computers. These give me pretty much everything I need. If I need to search the internet I use that if I need to watch a video it gets watched on that. I love to use my phone to watch videos because I can watch them anywhere it’s the easiest source for me to use.
What software do you use to learn? (Eg. search engines, mobile apps, social networks, eBooks, digital libraries, wikis, blogs, videos, podcasts)
I usually use Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat. I listen to podcasts online sometimes but not too often. I like all these softwares because it gives me various looks into the social spectrum.
What digital tools do you wish you had access to for learning? (Eg. any graphic organizers, mind-mapping tools, resource management tools, progress tracking tools, design tools, etc.) Why?
I wish I had a tool that would allow me to get the exact answers to questions you may have while searching online. Usually you have questions and Google or other search engines will lead you all around before they give you half of the answer. If I had a digital tool that allowed me to gain access to the exact answer every time I would feel good????????
What might your ideal Personal Learning Environment (PLE) look like?
My own ideal personal learning environment would be a movie theater style projector displayed on the wall. While at the same time I’d have a machine that you sit down and strap into that transports you from desk to desk to do certain work I’d have a soundproof room where I could play my music as loud as I wanted and then another place where I could watch a movie or tv show while doing some work and lastly I’d have a outside experience where the machine would transport you outside and you’d be able to enjoy a night out up high reading a book or enjoying the view ????????????????
