Who are you, and what do you like to learn about? (academically, professionally, and/or personally)

First year student at Wheelock College, studying psychology and human development. I love to learn about people and cultures and the diversity that makes up our world. I like to learn how people work and what makes them do the things they do; how they operate and function in relation to each other and to themselves.

What hardware do you use to learn? (Eg. smart phone, tablet, laptop, desktop)

Mainly my iPhone and my laptop

What software do you use to learn? (Eg. search engines, mobile apps, social networks, eBooks, digital libraries, wikis, blogs, videos, podcasts)

I use google scholar a lot and the Wheelock Library’s databases such as e-brary academic complete. I also use social networks such as Facebook or Twitter and I read lifestyle blogs every once in a while. I also use Moodle.

What digital tools do you wish you had access to for learning? (Eg. any graphic organizers, mind-mapping tools, resource management tools, progress tracking tools, design tools, etc.) Why?

Progress-tracking tools would be helpful because they would give students a more individualized approach where students can track their own progress.

What might your ideal Personal Learning Environment (PLE) look like?

I learn best in quiet spaces where I’m by myself and have the resources I need such as my laptop.
