Student

Who are you, and what do you like to learn about? (academically, professionally, and/or personally)

I am a senior college student interested in special education, specifically language and literacy development in young children. Personally, I love learning about local and global current events as well as new books, bestselling authors, and notable pieces of writing

What hardware do you use to learn? (Eg. smart phone, tablet, laptop, desktop)

An iPhone 5, an HP laptop, and an iPod classic

What software do you use to learn? (Eg. search engines, mobile apps, social networks, eBooks, digital libraries, wikis, blogs, videos, podcasts)

Twitter, Instagram, Google, teachers pay teachers, tumblr and other blogs about writing, literacy, and special education. PINTEREST is a HUGE website I use for every aspect of my learning, professionally and otherwise. And YouTube!

What digital tools do you wish you had access to for learning? (Eg. any graphic organizers, mind-mapping tools, resource management tools, progress tracking tools, design tools, etc.) Why?

I wish I had more organizational tools- maybe timers, programs that help you keep track of the time you are allotting to certain assignments, and self control apps to help you stay off of distracting media

What might your ideal Personal Learning Environment (PLE) look like?

My personal learning environment is a quiet space with many opportunities for discussion and talking. Also, with many devices for learning that I can have access to such as a laptop or iPad
