Who are you, and what do you like to learn about? (academically, professionally, and/or personally)

I am Dominican. I like to learn about the effects that music has on people, different cultural traditions and events as well as different cultural dances.

What hardware do you use to learn? (Eg. smart phone, tablet, laptop, desktop)

I mainly use my laptop and my iPod (because I currently don’t have a phone). But I can also use a tablets and desktops but I just don’t use them as often because I always have my laptop and iPod available to me.

What software do you use to learn? (Eg. search engines, mobile apps, social networks, eBooks, digital libraries, wikis, blogs, videos, podcasts)

I always use Google, I use Wheelock’s library website for online databases and eBooks for research papers and reliable sources. For information that is just for fun I use Youtube.

What digital tools do you wish you had access to for learning? (Eg. any graphic organizers, mind-mapping tools, resource management tools, progress tracking tools, design tools, etc.) Why?

I wish I was able to have a tool or device where I could record everything that I have ever encountered or learned so that I won’t forget it. I mean it seems like a phone or notebook could be enough, but I mean literally everything I encountered I had at my fingertips that way I could always have a reference to what I have learned, heard, seen, and experienced.

What might your ideal Personal Learning Environment (PLE) look like?

I think that my ideal PLE would be in a room where there is natural sunlight, many windows to allow the natural sunlight to come through. I would like to have multiple sitting furniture, a couch, a comfortable bean bag chair, as well as a chair in front of a desk. I see this room as having neutral colors like beige and light blue, I feel like i need to feel relaxed and calm in this environment. There would be a source of music of some sort, soft music, possibly classical but it depends on what I am working on.
