Who are you, and what do you like to learn about? (academically, professionally, and/or personally)

I am a junior at Wheelock College. I am majoring in Elementary Education and Political Science and minoring in Writing. I love to learn about creative writing and how to become a great teacher. I am excited to use what I learn at Wheelock and apply it to my future career as a teacher.

What hardware do you use to learn? (Eg. smart phone, tablet, laptop, desktop)

I use my laptop for a lot of my assignments. I have also had to use iPads as part of my learning. Most of my assignments are done and submitted online.

What software do you use to learn? (Eg. search engines, mobile apps, social networks, eBooks, digital libraries, wikis, blogs, videos, podcasts)

I have use the internet for research, microsoft word for papers and written assignments, excel, occasionally ebooks, digital libraries, videos, and podcasts.

What digital tools do you wish you had access to for learning? (Eg. any graphic organizers, mind-mapping tools, resource management tools, progress tracking tools, design tools, etc.) Why?

There are no digital tools I can think of that I wish I had access to for learning. However, if such tools were ntroduced to me I would enjoy learning how to use them for my learning experience.

What might your ideal Personal Learning Environment (PLE) look like?

Having constant resources to help cross register for classes, use each of the COF websites, and things of that nature would be helpful. Having a technology class to go through all of the popular programs would also be helpful. It would be nice to feel comfortable with a variety of technology so i can feel comfortable using it in my future jobs and so I am intrduced to technology options I hadn’t known before.
